CompKey+ Health Care Network
Introduction to the CompKey+ HCN
The 79th legislature passed HB 7 that enacted Texas Insurance Code Chapter 1305. Chapter 1305 authorized the establishment of workers' compensation health care networks for the provision of workers' compensation medical benefits.
The goal of the health care network (HCN) is to deliver quality medical services to injured state workers covered by the SORM program. A listing of counties and additional available CompKey+ HCN resources can be found at the bottom of this page.
What Employers Need to Know
SORM is planning a phased implementation that will begin in September and be completed by the end of 2011.
SORM is making every effort to make this change as seamless as possible. To that end, each agency must designate a Health Care Network contact and enter that person's information into the online Risk Management Information System (RMIS). This individual will receive periodic updates from SORM, as well as e-mails and videos that can be viewed by all staff for additional information about the network and their responsibilities.
Additional information along with a brief video for employers can be found on our CompKey+ Employer page.
What Employees Need to Know
What does this mean for me as an employee? SORM has contracted with CompKey+ workers' compensation health care network (HCN) to provide state employees, who live in network service areas, the opportunity for improved quality of care and help in returning to work as soon as medically appropriate.
Additional information along with a brief video for employees can be found on our CompKey+ Employee page.
