The State Office of Risk Management (SORM) is looking for a motivated and service-mined Creative Media Designer who will be responsible for producing educational training content for the agency’s key mission areas: continuity of operations (COOP), risk management, insurance, and workers’ compensation. As a Creative Media Designer, you will work as a videographer and visual storyteller to create effective training for state of Texas employees. You will be responsible for producing informational and training videos, recording live events, designing graphics, and creating other multi-media content to be used for in-person or virtual presentations, learning management system (LMS) training modules, YouTube, and other online platforms. We are looking for a person who has a creative eye and is familiar with brand development, marketing initiatives, and other outreach opportunities. At SORM, we enjoy
collaborating with each other and being a part of a team. You must have excellent communication skills and have an eye for creating engaging media content. The Texas State Office of Risk Management is administratively attached to the Office of the Attorney General and is governed by a five-member Board. The Office is charged by law to administer insurance services obtained by Texas state agencies, including the self-insured government employees workers’ compensation insurance program and the state risk management programs. Its mission is to enable State of Texas agencies to protect their employees, the general public, and the State’s physical and financial assets by reducing and controlling risk in the most efficient and cost effective manner.
