The State Office of Risk Management is pleased to announce Danica Dickson as Interim Senior Insurance Manager for SORM’s statewide insurance programs effective February 1, 2019. She will report directly to the Director of Enterprise Risk, Ms. Jacqueline Baynard.
Ms. Dickson joined the agency in May 2018 as an Insurance Manager with a primary focus on the property and automobile programs. As Interim Senior Insurance Manager, Ms. Dickson will extend her responsibilities to overseeing the operations the Insurance Services Unit, supporting the six current lines of insurance, and expanding SORM’s insurance portfolio to nine sponsored lines of insurance.

Ms. Dickson previously worked at the Myrtle Beach Police Department handling training, new hire onboarding, and worked as a police officer. Danica was an adjuster at Nationwide Insurance for six years where she gained knowledge of commercial liability claims, medical claims, and litigated claims. She graduated cum laude from Campbell University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and has a paralegal certification from Duke University.
