Possible Severe Weather

The National Weather Service forecasts widespread storms across North and Central Texas from Wednesday through Friday. A Flood Watch is in effect along and west of I-35 from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday afternoon.

On Monday, September 28, Governor Abbott directed the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) to activate state emergency response resources, including 24/7 State Operations Center activity throughout the event. Learn more about the state’s emergency response on the Governor’s Office website.

A Flood Watch means flooding is possible. Agencies should monitor local forecasts and warnings and follow guidance from local emergency officials. State agencies should review continuity procedures related to employee travel, facility access, essential functions, remote work, and staff communication. Identify alternate travel routes and work arrangements for employees affected by flooded roads and confirm how any operational changes will be communicated.

For the latest conditions based on your location, consult the National Weather Service Fort Worth or Austin/San Antonio offices.

System upgrades will occur Saturday, October 17 from 8AM to 11AM. Intermittent connection issues may occur during this time.
