SORM Welcomes New Insurance Account Manager

The State Office of Risk Management is pleased to welcome Nick Witkowski as the Account Manager in the Enterprise Risk department, Insurance Services unit. Along with Insurance Specialists, Derrick Guzman and Shelly Milvo, Mr. Witkowski will handle all sponsored lines of insurance, helping state agencies understand their risk exposures as well as how to best insure state assets.

“We are very pleased to have Nick join Enterprise Risk and the insurance team,” said Jaqueline Baynard, Director of Enterprise Risk. “Not only will Mr. Witkowski assist individual state agencies with their insurance needs, he will also analyze statewide insurance exposures. It is incredibly important for us to identify industry trends and any enhancement needs to our current insurance programs.”

Mr. Witkowski joins the agency from the Colorado State Office of Risk Management, where he had over twelve years of experience in governmental risk management, insurance, and claims. Prior to working for the State of Colorado, Mr. Witkowski worked for the Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets, and Colorado Rapids as an Event Safety/Risk Manager. His extensive background includes managing commercial property insurance, workers’ compensation claims, and employee safety. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Colorado State University.
