Board Begins Search for Next Executive Director

The Board of Directors of the State Office of Risk Management is seeking a visionary and experienced leader to serve as its next Executive Director. As the chief executive officer and administrative head of the agency, the Executive Director plays a pivotal role in managing the state’s insurance, workers’ compensation, and risk management programs that directly impact government operations and thousands of public employees across Texas.

The Executive Director is responsible for maintaining transparency, integrity, and operational excellence across the agency. This person reports to the Board of Directors and oversees all aspects of strategic planning, staff leadership, and policy development. Specific duties are set forth in Section 412.041 of the Texas Labor Code.
