Invitations for Bid or Requests for Proposals
Pursuant to Section 412.0111, Texas Labor Code, the State Office of Risk Management is administratively attached to the Office of the Attorney General (OAG). SORM has an Interagency Contract with the OAG for administrative support services and resources. The OAG’s Procurement Division provides SORM with administrative support in all procurements and prepares and files procurement-related documents and reports on behalf of SORM.
Procurement Opportunities
All state procurement opportunities over $25,000 must be posted to the Electronic State Business Daily (ESBD), which is operated by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. Opportunities with SORM can be found by selecting Office of Risk Management – 479 from the Agency Name dropdown menu.
Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Program
The goal of the agency’s HUB program is to increase procurement opportunities for minority, woman-owned, and Service Disabled Veteran businesses. The program includes components designed to increase awareness, provide education, and encourage participation by actively working with both agency staff and the vendor community. The OAG’s HUB Coordinator ensures that equal opportunity is available to the entire vendor community in accordance with HUB statutes and rules.
