“I am deeply honored to serve as the new Executive Director of the State Office of Risk Management, and I thank the Board for trusting me with this position. It is a privilege to lead an agency that plays such an important role in safeguarding the people, assets, and resources of the State of Texas.

Throughout my career in state government—spanning legislative service, policy development, and executive operations—I have witnessed the importance of risk management in ensuring that Texas agencies can fulfill their missions effectively and responsibly. This work protects not only state employees and facilities, but also the public trust in government stewardship.

As Executive Director, my vision is to strengthen SORM’s position as a trusted strategic partner to state agencies—driving excellence in risk analysis, claims management, and loss prevention. We will continue advancing a culture of safety, accountability, and resilience across state government by leveraging data-driven decision-making, innovative solutions, and strong partnerships. We will remain committed to serving our clients and stakeholders with integrity, professionalism, and a focus on measurable results.

Together, we will work to create a safer, more resilient Texas—one that anticipates risk, mitigates loss, and protects the people who serve this great state.”
